Cause This can be caused by compressed file scanning in SEP for Mac, and some relief may be obtained by disabling compressed file scanning where it is unnecessary. Is there a way to permanently remove SymDaemon? I have to constantly continue to quit the process over and over. Something called SymDaemon constantly goes up to over 50% CPU usage and heats up my Mac like crazy.
